Most likely the stones will not pass through the catheter, but collect at the bottom of the bladder. The catheter inlet is held above the bottom of the bladder by the retaining bulb, and the (kidney) holes come from each side.
A most appropriate thought.. You would have to try some special bouncing exercises to bounce the stone into the neck of the bulb.. So the bottom line is, even if a Kidney did pass a stone, (and I suspect the boy would well know it), then it would not be an issue until after cath removal, and then would likely easily pass, because of the especially enlarged state of the urethra..
