Can using Viagra or Cialis actually cause erectile dysfunction?

I have been using Viagra recreationally for a couple months. Although I have been using it quite regularly I haven't exceeded the recommended dosage. After two months I haven't used Viagra for about a week and can only achieve an erection for a very short period of time. I haven't experienced Erectile Dysfunction before this and I'm wondering if the use of Viagra by someone who isn't afflicted, can actually cause permanent damage? I don't know where else to post this topic question as there isn't a specific category for E.D. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

onmax, first, wlecome to the Forum. That's a good question---one I haven't seen asked before, I think. I can't recall anyone saying that this effect has happened to them, but maybe someone will come along with some info. In the meantime, I'd suggest bringing this question to your prescribing doctor, just in case.

There are so many reasons for ED that it's hard to know what is happening. Two big issues are High Blood Pressure and plaque in your blood veins.

I took Viagra for 5 years off and on before the PC Surgery. Never had any issues but the surgery made it useless.
