Hi Mary here,
We're taking Willie to the oncologist shortly.
Please send positive thoughts and prayers for Willie today, he's had an awful couple of weeks.
Our family doctor was able to get him out of pain, after the New Year but today, he'll know the score and we're very worried about
his reaction to the news.
He's struggling to even get ready for the appointment, it's all so very, very sad.
Thankyou to you all.

Thankyou all very much.
Willie did not see the oncologist yesterday, as he got violently sick en route, although we made it to the hospital.
He asked me to go in, get the information of whatever they might have to offer him but I couldn't get past the nurse.
She seriously thought Willie could sit in a metal wheelchair, vomiting like a volcano and shaking like a leaf in front of about
90 other patients for an hour or two, til they were ready for him!
When I returned to the car, Willie said very quietly, 'please just take me home'.
Spoke with our family doctor last evening and he's going to try to reach the oncologist today to obtain information and 'odds' of it helping Willie.
Tomorrow, our family doc will make a house call and give Willie his hormone shot and any information that he can get today.
Willie has been rescheduled for the oncologist for next Monday afternoon.
Willie has been on IM anti-nauseants and morphine and is having a better day today.
There is a huge snowstorm heading for us, so we're going to enjoy the pretty snowfall and some lime jello, Willies' favorite!
Thankyou all again for the good wishes, please keep up the positive thoughts and prayers.
Much appreciated.

Thanks for the update, Mary, and give our combined best to Willie. He has a lot of friends and supporters here, we hate it that he is having it so rough.

Thanks for the update Mary, although it is tough to read of how hard the ride was on Willie. Please, do keep us posted. I know all of us here have you and Willie in our thoughts.

Bless your family doctor for being willing to make a house call! So glad Willie is feeling a bit better right now, and hoping for a good rest of the week for him.

Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way as we watch our own snowstorm (15inches and still coming down) in southern New England. Hope one of winters beautiful displays give you that feeling of peace and cozy comfort...Hugs to you both.

Thankyou everyone, for the continued positive thoughts and prayers.
We are lucky to have a family doctor who is willing to do house calls, a rarity in these times.
Not so much luck with the oncologist though, as he's failed to call our doctor at all.
Willie got his hormone shot on Thursday, due to snow delay and our doctor is quite perplexed as to why the oncologist is failing to do 'more' for him.
We're going to Mondays' appointment, if at all possible and if we don't get satisfaction, our family doc suggests we change hospitals/doctors.
I just hope we can get some treatment going, Willie is not doing well but is not in too much pain, thankfully.
Wish we could figure out how to stop the vomiting, as he really needs to eat something more than jello and ginger ale.
The IM injections are working but not totally.....I am very worried, very very worried.
Mary
