Things that might work for a patient:
Megace
Megestrol
Cyproterone acetate
soy products ( ???) still some questions on proof
Gabapentrin
Zoloft and Effexor (anti-depressants can work): Dr. Yu is using 3.75 mg. (Effexor) of this in some patients and has found they got results (go figure).
Provigil can help to fight fatigue with using HT -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bone density info:
Fosamax (we know about)
Zometa or zolendronic acid I.V., there study had 5% density improvement shown within 12 months.
Alendronate showed a 5% denisty increase also
Toremifene 80 mg. increased BMD, bone density but is non-FDA approved currently
Denosumab showed a 6.7% increase at 24 mos. (subcataneous useage) non-FDA still
also it showed 62% reduction in vertrebrate fractures over 36 mos. time
Other onco-docs he worked with on such studies, C. Higano and R. Montgomery
(Dr. Yu is at Washington Univ. Hospital) looks much younger than he actually is!
