Guys with Advance Sling Installed. Where were your incisons?

Guys,
I was scheduled to have the AMS Advance sling installed on 1/10. Last night, I finally got to looking at the incisions and sutures and found that I have one on the back side of my scrotum about 3 inches long, and two, 3 inch long incisions on both sides of the scrotum in the crease between my legs and scrotum.
That is surprising to me.
The Coloplast installation does that. I expect the Advance to have two small punches on either side of my penis and nothing in the creases.

I am trying to find a good referece but the Advance site does not show what I need.

So, if any of you have had an Advance or Coloplast sling, where are your incisions? Are they as I have described? Sorry I won't send you pictures (although you know I have them.) And don't send me yours. ;-)

I am wondering if I truly got what I'd asked for.

The incisions are exactly as you described. The two side ones are for inserting the sling and the one below the scrotum is for positioning. The surgeon uses a special device supplied by AMS to "pull and tighten" the sling. In my case there were two surgeons involved--one for the "threading" and one to assure that everything was aligned.

Sounds like you got the right cuts. Remember, with the Advance sling there is no attachment to the bone. The sling ultimately is permanently attached by the scarring over of the sling. This results in less pain than the original male sling surgeries. That's why the first six weeks are so important.

Thanks. I saw more info on the AdVance sling installation and see that my cuts are about right. Maybe slightly larger than shown on the informational video for surgeons.

I am just home from my second voiding trial - one week after surgery.
Sadly, I am leaking like crazy. Maybe it is just trauma to the area. I hope this will get better soon.
I will take a nap soon.

That ain't good. I guess you still have your old buddy, Mr Foley? I am guessing if you could pee good to start off, then when the swelling went down, leaks. I hope it turns out just right. I know about swelling as just putting in the cuff for my AUS and associated plumbing has greatly reduced my leakage with actiavtion still three weeks away. So, we wait. Yours was suposed to come on line much sooner than mine but if you keep messing up I might get dry ( knock on wood) before you, but you know that ain't going to happen. Don't let mr. Foley freeze.
