Thought i'd share this Google News update.. Hope is hope.
"He said the team had found a way to inhibit a molecule known as CD151, which is found in high levels in aggressive prostate cancer, causing it to spread. He said tests showed compounds affecting the molecule in prostate cancer cells reduced the movement of the cells by between 30 and 70 per cent."
''We tested a range of compounds in mice and we were delighted to see that several of them shrunk the tumours quite dramatically, without overt effects on other major organs,'' said Professor Frauman, who also works with the University of Melbourne. ''It's a very exciting step forward.''
