Hi,
I've reached the half way point on the stage 2 trial for biochemical recurrence after definitive primary treatment failure. Avastin plus cab (lupron + Casodex ).
The usual ht (hormone therapy) symptoms in my case fatigue, memory, losing train of thought, emotions. No hot flashes so far.
This is my second time on 6 months of cab (combined Androgen blockade).
My present psa is 0.02 :)
How the Avastin effected the psa drop is unknown.
Trial stops the end of May then compare the 2 arms on length of time till bcr.
I sincerely hope this leads to a prolonged remission and the Avastin contributes to it.
It may lead to another treatment for this stage of the disease.
Best wishes to all

Hi Gerry,
Glad to see you are responding to Avastin added to ADT2. Can you tell us the frequency and dose of Avastin? Keep us informed.
Wish you the very best outcome!

Hi RalphV
Treatment frequency is 8 iv's 3 weeks apart.
15mg/kg (of weight)
I had no reaction to the iv, or other than very minor nose bleeds any other side effects
Thanks for the best wishes.
I really hope this leads to another treatment for BCR only with no other symptoms.
