Hi Bronson, Excuse my boldness in 'bumping' your good news of last week!
I actually read your post when it was posted, but it sparked off a massive personal research episode for me which has now resolved so I thank you for that.
First, brilliant news on the .02 PSA - what a "beauty".
Second, my husband like you, has gained weight in the last few years and it has worried him for the same reasons. He has now lost a few pounds, and is doing quite well slowly and surely, but recently was commenced on Crestor for cholesterol - I am getting the script filled today. Until your post however, I had not heard of the other benefits or its relationship to Pca, so have spent a week researching all aspects of this, including much diverse commentary. I also looked up the website you mentioned in a reply to another (calorie count one), and what a great site for weight loss info. Thanks again. You are a wealth of information! Thanks finally for your passion to advocate for education about all aspects of pca and awareness. I agree, and even in a spousal role myself, try to use my influence whenever possible to educate others. Last week, I referred a young woman to this website for her dad - he is a survivor of 2-3 years and in his 60's, and she was seeking more information now she is studying nursing, so I am giving her this address next week and she is going to refer her dad to it too. Every little bit helps.
I am so happy your PSA is great, and thanks again for all the additional info which was so useful to us! I just had one question however, and that is, are you on 10 or 20 mg for Crestor? My husband has been prescribed 20 daily. He has not been on medication of this sort before, but needs to get the level down somehow!
Kind regards to you and Steve, Lana. (((())))
