I am a new member on this forum. I am having difficulty dealing my incontinence post robotic surgery. I guess I set my expectations too high. My surgery was on 12/2/10, so I am about 4 1/2 months out now. I know, I know and I am overjoyed that the results of my first post suregery PSA were good and that the doc thinks he got everything, but that doesn't make this incontinence any better to deal with. I had a very active lifestyle, enjoyed all types of food, particularly spicy foods and was a moderate drinker. Post surgery I stayed off the spicy foods, coffee and beer for a while, but slowly started adding these things back and found that unless I consumed large quantities of beer or coffee, nothing else seemed to have an effect on the volume of leakage. Now I am second guessing myself and wondering if I would be better off had I completely cut these things out of my life. At 4 1/2 months I only use one pad a day, but I am on my butt most of the day at a desk and urinate frequently. When out and about I dribble. I was wondering if any of the rest of you would be willing to share your experiences with the effect of diet on your incontinence, especially coffee and beer. Thanks.
