Several of our group are either still on the road, ...asleep in a hotel room while traveling home,.... or just plain worn out from all the fun. In a way, I'm all three. As I type this, I'm sitting in a hotel room in New Orleans (ready for the golf tournament tomorrow morn), mentally preparing for an early bedtime and at the same time, I'm exhausted. But it's one of the most pleasant feelings of exhaustion I've had in a long while.
I simply cannot express the overwhelming feelings of brotherly love that were displayed over and over this weekend. What a fantastic, supportive, and wonderful group of fellows. You all have my deepest and most sincere admiration. Not just because we share a common bond, but by what I observed and felt the last few days. And not just toward me, but mostly toward each other, and in ways that were humbling to see and experience. My hat's off to all of you.
Jeff: Buddy, I think you know how I feel toward you. While we are not brothers by birth, I feel just as close as if we were. I am truly humbled by the outpouring of support you display toward us all. For me, that takes a lot of energy, but you seem to thrive on it. All I can say is "Wow!"
I have nothing but kind thoughts and words for every man (and their wives) present this weekend. I love you all.
Our open and honest discussion last night was nothing short of miraculous. Just a few years ago, it would not have been possible.
ps: Steve and I found the keys to the vette last night, and for all who are wondering,....it ain't worth a crap in the mud.....<snicker>
