 How long do you feel strange around your bladder after your surgery? It has been 7 months and some times it feels like I just had the surgery. It doesn't hurt I just feels strange around the bladder area. Some times My bladder hurts when I have to pee really bad. So my question is is this normal or do I have a bladder infection? Mostly it has felt this way since the operation I think.

I would contact your doctor and have it checked out - could be a UTI -

-was your surgery open rad or robotic?

-sometimes within the one year mark, my scar tissue area would ache for a day or two and then settle down again - sometimes related to stress or movement / lifting... restricted movement within due to internal scar tissue...

-sometimes the bladder would feel odd when having to pee badly - due to being stretched out...

-when in doubt- contact your doc.

You can't guess about a UTI, you need to see the doc for that, and they may even want to do a culture on your urine, to tune in the correct antibiotic to clear that up.

I had open surgery, and my surgeon told me there would be a lot of odd pains in variousw places in my body for a good year, and he was pretty accurate. Within a year, most of them did fade away to pre-surgery levels.

What Purgatory said matches my recovery, I had penile pain up to a year after.

I agree with logo. I had a lot of penile and testicle pain, and sitting down pains, for a good part of that year. It was worse after any sex, the pain in that region was intense, almost enough to not warrant the attempt at pleasure. It would hurt for hours after.

I never had the pain that you mention but I did have an odd feeling when I emptied my bladder.
For a couple of years after surgery, when I would void, I could feel my bladder empty. I would get the sensation of the inside of the bladder walls touching, like a balloon deflating. I don't know if that what physically happens but that's what it felt like.
