Well today was the best thus far.  Daughter is coming down for weekend

leaving her DOG with US for 10 DAYS.  She is going to Europe.  I have a

UTI so keeping her from my PCa won't be an issue. (here it comes).

I Engaged life today.  Went to work for 1 hour 6-7am then left.

Went to the garbage dump.  Mowed the front lawn.  Peed my pants.

I am going in reverse there, kegels is tough with UTI, bladder stings.

Anyway, feeling the best I have in a while.  Keeping busy I think is the key,

instead of "Praying for Bad Things to Happen".

Sag, Congrats on a good day! Agreed that keeping busy is a good thing but holy cow, man...mowed the lawn? Didn't your doc give you restrictions? I'm not allowed to lift over 5 lbs, push, pull, or drive for another week. I know you had robotic but darn son...Don't over do it! You still have healing to do. Easy does it!

good news, i agree with rc, i had a day like that early on and paid for it for a couple of days after, take it easy although you feel ok there has been a lot of cut and paste going on down there and you don't want to bugger up long term healing prospects. Small steps are the order of the day, you will dry up, took me about 11 weeks to be pad free, unless I drink wine, a few beers ok, but after a couple of wines I start to leak, can't stop it no matter how hard I squease shocked
anyway good luck on your recovery.

I usually pipe up with the "what happened to following the 5 pound rule", but since it was already done...

Just the gas can weighs 5 pounds.

Take it easy, and keep the dog out of your lap. My neighbor's jumped in my lap full speed and put a paw part-way through a suture about 8 weeks out, so it was off to the hospital to get it cleaned out and checked. Wasn't much, but felt like his paw was coming out my arse. He had a first flight lesson - I got a round of antibiotics.

Today while peeing I noticed a small pebble come out.

I removed it from toilet (with gloves) and noticed it was

a small semi-soft clump.  It looked like old blood (not bright red).

Today off and on I noticed redish brown streaks now and then.

Not constant, but a liitle squirt or two while peeing.  Anyone

have same issue ?  Its been 3 day since catheter removed.

After DaVinci I was using a measuring cup to pee in - keeping records - so things like this were easier to sort out.

I had a lot of what my uro called "debris", a lot of it was the scabbing that had formed over the urethra re-connection, and eventually peeled off. There was a lot, and some pieces were a lot bigger than what I would have expected.

That said, call your surgeon if anything concerns you.

That is the purpose of the recommended drink, walk, drink routine. There's lots of bits and pieces, gunk, junk, and debris left inside you from the surgery itself and the healing, with sloughing off of tissue, old blood, clots, and other such. Nothing to be alarmed about, unless urination is restricted by it or you get bright red copious blood in urine. Otherwise, expect assorted debris to come out for a month or more.

For up to six weeks after DaVinci, I never knew what might appear with my urine:  pieces of this and that, usually red to brown, and totally normal.  Interesting, but normal.

Well, was up all night peeing blood.

You name the shade I had it.  Bright red

to pink.  So I drank tons of water to make

sure my facuet don't stop.  Don't recall doing

anything that day to trigger this.  I did feel pain

down there were my prosate use to be that day.

Did very little, must of made a wrong move.

Sag, Sorry to hear of your problems. Could this be related to possibly over doing it the day before yesterday...mowing the lawn, etc? I still have a lot of discomfort where the prostate used to be...pelvic floor... but have stopped all pain meds, including Advil, just to allow myself to feel my true, unmasked condition. Feeling what is really there is keeping me from overdoing it. Healing is going to take some time, be patient. If the heavy red bleeding continues, I wouldn't hesitate to call the doc. Take it easy, lay low, and hope you are feeling better soon.

Mower is a walk behind self propelled.  Thought it was no different

than a walk, don't own a sickle.  Still getting blood, first alarming,

then no big deal.  While soaping myself in the shower a little arousal

was felt.  I pursued matters to see what would happen, a little more

excitement.  Well I said to myself, you gone this far see how far

you can take it.  It went all the way with no levitra.  Was it a rock maple,

no, was it worthy of partnership, yes.  A dry orgasm, well at least no

blood there.

Sag, We're guys...we have the market cornered in dumb...just ask my wife...she calls it Testosterone poisoning...just gotta let the big head do the thinking for a while, but happy to read that the little one is working for you too. Call that doc if the bleeding gets worse. I'm still dry, wearing big boy pants today, and am heading out for a trip to the grocery store...how exciting is that? Take care and let that body heal.

Called my DOC.  He is not concerned.  Said to take it easy, and probably

the blood clot I saw was a scab that fell off and was bleeding from it.

Sag / Bob,

You two guys have been great. It's been a real help to know what to kinda expect after my surgery is done. Keep the info coming. Besides, my wife is getting a lot from it too. She's beginning to understand how to treat the patient once he comes home from the hospital!

HD, My wife hung out with me for a week post op. It sure was a big help to have her around. The first few days at home were a little rough and her company was enormously helpful. The open surgery may have been a bit more traumatic to the body than the robotic, but I totally underestimated the emotional component. Don't underestimate that this surgery may knock your dick in the dirt for a few days. I'm not trying to scare, just prepare for a ride and know that it will get better everyday. I agree with others that the waiting and fear of the unknown is the harder part. Just a few more days to go and you will be fine. We will all be waiting to hear from you from the other side. For now, get out and ride while you still can. Next to sailing, it's the best therapy I know of.

Yes having someone to help was comforting.  But it could be done alone.

As far as dry excitement goes, if the significant other was reluctant to do

a certain task because of the mess, that would no longer be a reason :>

I plan on playing that sympathy card.

Since surgery my nights are still dry.  The day time I still leak.  Perhaps

because allot of water is taken during day.  Have a glass or two of wine with

dinner seems to have no effect either way.  Off and on blood while urintating

still, waiting it out.  Burns when I pee blood, feels fine when just urine.

Sitting is an issue, sore down there.  I am still not comfortable bending over.

A little driving seems fine, allot of driving does not.  Perhaps it's the braking,

and sitting too long.

Tomorrow morning will be the two week mark since surgery.  It was

a rough two weeks.  Hopefully things have settled down, and now just

deal with time/healing.
