I've had the cath out about 5 days.
Basically dry at night, and 1 or 2 pads during the day.
However, I have pain that didn't start until after the cath was removed.
My penis hurts, along with my testicles and the area inside were the prostate use to be.
The whole area is just real tender and sore to the touch. Doesn't hurt when I pee.
Just wondering if this is normal or should I be calling my Uro about it?

early days for you, and sounds like you are doing well, you will be dry in no time. As far as pain goes if you are having constant pain, call the Doc and get checked out. But remember you have had major surgery even tough not much showing on the outside, there has been lots of cutting and sewing going on inside, so some pain is expected, I took pain killers for 4 days then was ok as long as I took it easy, I did too much one day, about 11 days post op, paid for it, good luck
PS took me 11 weeks to throw away pads completely! well nearly completely beer and wine cause some grief shocked

That is exactly what I felt.  Mine slowly diminished over time.

Off and on little stings now and then.  I did however

feel pain while peeing.  I was then put on antibiotics

for UTI.  Everytime I would feel a pain, I would think

OMG somthing is wrong.  I called my URO several times

about various pains.  He came short of laughing at me.  He said

what do you expect, you were sliced and diced down there

pretty good, it will take time to heal.  Items he was concerned about was

if I couldn't pee, or had fever.

Ausboy,

I was wondering if I brought it on myself by over doing things.
As I cut the lawn, and messed around in the garden, bending down pulling weeds.
It did seem to hurt more after that. I'll take it easy a few days, and see if it helps some.

Exactly.

I would think I was ready to do chores, then

my body would say, "no your not".  Taking it easy

a few days cured me, with lesson learned, somewhat.

I still try things and then my body says, "what did you do that for" ?

I am having same issues,the burning has gotten better,I started drinking cranberry juice with water only for two days,the burning stopped,but now I have the groin paine issue,it hurts to walk even ,feels like it could be a hernia, but can't get in to see the dr till tomorrow.I have gone back to pain medicine,it hasn't got better at all.
