The following is a draft i started early this week. Low and behold Tim from Maine started a thread shortly after that was very helpful.Thats the beauty of this site. Right now iam leaning towards lupron.
Greetings my fellow brothers. After a 17 month vacation from any treatments or posting on
PCa forums,
Iam sad to say
iam back in business so to speak.
SRT was a long shot at best. While it did slow and retreat my
psa, it has started to climb from
nadar of 1.2 on 2/03/11 at fast and furious pace. Last 3.7 on 7/22/11. Although
ive known this time would come, its still a depressing thought being sentenced to HT fog from here on out. Met with
onco on 7/25 and discussed treatment options.
Basicly,
intermintent lupron or
zoladex...my choice. She
wasnt recomending any
casodex prior for flair.
I will be getting ct and bone scans next week...i know probably a waste of time and money....I hope! and then returning for the BIG harpoon on
aug 15. I guess the fact that its not instant(like surgery) but a few weeks for the fog to set in makes it a little easier. Makes me wonder if i'll trade in my Harleys for a scooter :)
After beating the side effects of surgery and
srt,its a real kick in the a**!!. One thing is for sure, this 2 1/2 yr journey has made me appreciate all that i have
. That is a gift very few people (my..self included) realize when life goes
uninterrupted. I would appreciate any input from others who have experience with either of these wonderful drugs. Thanks for letting me vent here, its been a long time. Actually i feel better already :)..turner
