First, a Welcome to HW. We would just as soon you didn't need to be here, but the door is open.
Second, a reality check. You are about 6 weeks out, right?
I represent the worse end of results, but even I got better. At 3 months out, I suddenly dropped from 7-8 pads and a Depend pant or 2 per day to 3 pads. At 5 months, I dropped to 1 pad a day. I have to say I had to do RT, and got worse again, but that does not count for you (I hope).
Things to do:
- a reasonable number of Kegels spread over the day (too many, to the point of strain or pain, is bad)
- walk often, trying to balance it as 2-4 sessions per day, rather than one mega-trek.
- Check the many incontinence sites for dietary suggestions. I dropped coffee from 5-6 cups a day to 1 on some days, but not all, trying some days to go without altogether. I added cranberry concentrate pills daily, and dropped orange / grapefruit juices completely. I added pomgranite / cranberry mix juices to replace the OJ.
I stopped any beverage that is carbonated - Beer, sparkling wine/water, sodas. There are many foods that aggravate the bladder.
That said, I wish that you will "dry up" soon!
