Hi my friends. I hope you are all having a good summer. School starts tomorrow for our 13 year old so this weekend will be the end of our summer. We are doing it up right. Camping water skiing good friends and family. I havent been on line much lately but all is well. 3 months into restarting lupron and I feel great. No more pain only 2 mild hot flashes and I not even worried about my next onco visit. I hope you are all well and fighting the fight. Stay positive. Todd

Todd - thanks for the great posting - so glad you have been enjoying life and the fun of summertime - wishing you all the best and low numbers (zero's ) for you and high numbers -high grades for your child.

Sittin here in the emergency room. I was trying to xut through a frozen chicken breast and cut my thumb really deep. Can you say stitches. Boy do I feel like a moron.

Its okay david. So when are you gonna take the advice of this simple country boy and get yourself a lupron shot. I'm tellin ya bro the side effe ts are really not bad. It makes. Me feel so much better.j

Good to hear from you Todd, please stay away from a chicken when you have a knife in your hand. Summer is coming to an end and fall will soon be in the air. Hope that you get some more fishing in. Glad the pain has subsisded as well.

Todd, good to hear from you and glad things are going well.

But, I would think that you would have had enough with the medical establishments to last a lifetime. Jeez guy, be a little more careful and stay out of hospitals. You know those places can make you sick, don't you?

Check in more often, it is always good to hear success stories.

Todd, great to hear see you posting and that all goes so well.

I'm blind jealous of that salmon. Yesterday I was in Cabelas buying new fishing line and in a fit of optimism I bought 10 pound, instead of six pound, test. The thought of anything bigger than a couple pound walleye makes me drool with envy. Your 32 pounder has me whimpering in agony.

Be kind to those monsters. Someday I too may be able to go after one.

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies. Sheldon you make oit here to God's. Country in late august or early September and I will hook you up. My fish was not even big enough to enter into the salmon derby. I am doing well. My sweet mandy rose keeps me young. I only need to use the trimix every thord time. I feel good and I look healthy. I. Try to live my life every day. My friends and family can't understand how w stay so active. Every noght we hike bike walk or jog. Every weekend we head to the lakes or the coast or oit to tje rivers to fish camp play or kust build a fire and watch for falling stars. I guess I figure if I don't stop moving I wont stop moving. Winter is coming and it is a dark time for me. I miss the sun and the warmth. I get very pale and look and feel sick. Winter jas its own beauty and its own promise. I often compare it to death. Like winter there is a certain beauty in death and tje promise of new life that comes with the spring. I am a dork. Talk to y'all soon. Todd

I never met a fisherman that I did not like :) that was a nice salmon! did you catch it fly fishing or with spin tackle?

Sheldon,

Just head due north to Nueltin Lodges, up in Nunivit. I honestly got tired of catching big fish, My belly got sore from holding the rod butt.

Shore lunch every day of fresh fish, potatoes and veggies over a fire ! Man, you talk about fishing. The 48 " pike were no slouch either.

Dano. I caught it using a cre and copper colored alvin. If your not familiar with them it is a type of spoon tjat resembles a herring in the water
