proud of my husband

Just letting you all know how proud I am of my husband. He is going today for CT/IMRT prep and leaving there to go to the health fair at work (not back to work yet) to talk to the guys about prostate cancer---fully dressed in his new t-shirt and hat from pcf :) thought you might want to know you now have another brother SPEAKING OUT against this disease that vacuums (my 13 y.o. daughter came home with the new vacuum terminology from school--her English teacher taught them to say that instead of SUCKS!!!)

Please tell your husband how proud we are.  I have found that becoming an advocate for PC has not only found me many new friends (mostly in this forum) but it makes me feel good knowing that out of my PC journey I might touch someone and save their life. I already know of one example of this in my advocacy.  

If every one who is on our journey can get just one other person to get a PCa screening early enough, we can save 100's and 1000's of more lives. I tell people I meet everyday about how one $40 a year blood test could save the life of their life and/or their spouse, father, Grandfather or male friend's life. I look at having PC as being a bummer but it is what it is and I want to put my new found knowledge about this disease to good use.

Annie, please relay my thanks to your husband. It is indeed the duty of all us here to spread the word as often as we can. Some of us find that in doing so we come to a greater level of being at peace with our own journeys within the PCa path.

I am also very happy to hear that your husband seems to be doing very well in his recovery.
