Update on my bone scan, not much to report

Hi,
It's been a few weeks since I have posted, had my bone scan a few days ago, CT will be this Thursday and of course the Uro Doc had a blood draw when I last saw him, about a month. The bone scan people said they didn't see anything except an ankle being repaired by the body and a wrist. Well I was hit by a car walking home from the pub about 3 yrs ago so maybe that is the problem.

I was supposed to see the Doc on Fri. Oct 7th but they called to move it up to the 4th. wonder if they know something I don't??? Hopefully I will get all a copy of all reports when I see the Doc in Oct. I'm still in the dark except for the cancer on the right side and a Gleason of 7. Sorry, don't know if it's 4+3 or 3+4 yet. Without the report I have no more info. I have had pain from the waist down both buttocks to about the ankles but thought it was to do with the spine/disc/sciatica nerve which I have had one leg treated many years ago. Now I'm not so sure this pain on both sides if from the same thing, I know very well what sciatica nerve pain is as I have dealt with it for 8 years before having a procedure they no longer do here.

I just wanted to check in and let all know how appreciated this forum is and the help it offers to all that are going down this bumpy road. I will update when I have more to report.

I would not worry too much about them moving the appointment, scheduling changes can and do happen.
The bone scan people did not give you any warnings - which I think is a good sign.

Try and think about other between now and your appointment. ANd yes please do let us know how your journey goes.

Not too worried but I do like to check in with the forum and see how the other members both old and new are doing. I am only one of the many here and do keep an interest in others as well.

The bone scan and CT are considered by some to be a waste, but they do set a baseline, and reduce the fear of mets factor we all seem to associate to any small pain after diagnosis.

I'm glad yours were clear (I was very relieved with mine, since my uro seemed very concerned in general). As to an appt. change, he may be headed out for the weekend. My docs change things all the time.

The baseline value is worth a lot, if one's cancer progresses forward. At the point the scans are initially perfomed, there is very little likelihood of them showing anything of value.

Thanks for the additional support guys, it's all very appreciated. When the bone scan showed my right foot and left wrist as a healing spot it took me by surprise until I remembered being hit my the car and spending 5 days in the hospital, nothing broke but banged up a lot and about 17 staples in the head, guess that is why my friends say I'm more goofy then ever. turn

CT scan tomorrow then Uro Doc next Tuesday so will update then.
