The United States Preventive Services Task Force upcoming guidance to eliminate PSA testing is in my opinion totally wrong.
PSA testing is the only way there is today to test for Prostate Cancer - is a elevated PSA a sure sign of Prostate Cancer? We all know it is not. Still what it provides is a warning the medical community can use in determining if any treatment is required.
It is not PSA screening that is at fault, it is how the PSA screening results are acted on.
