Cruise time with my lady!

Sounds like the perfect cruise, your wife, red wine and no cares for 7 days. Are you sure the red wine insn't POM?

 My wife and I are doing our PCa cruise the week after Thanksgiving from Ft Lauderdale and we too will be on our balcony drinking a lot of red wine. We call it the PC cruise because my Aflac cancer policy gave us enough cash to pay for the cruise.

Got back from our 7 Night Cruise today - I see I have a lot of catching up to do.

Before I do start catching up. Advise to everyone - Go On a Cruise! Tomorrow would be a good time to leave:)

Before we left I did some research and found the following to be very healthy while at sea
1. Any (and all) fruity drinks that contain rum as a major ingredient are good for you.
2. Beer - while consumed at sea while eating anything other than vegetables - is good for you.
3. Scotch - as a night cap - thats also good for you.
4. Laying about watching the scenery to include but not limited to the bikini clad scenery - is good for you.
5, Dinner comprised of two appetizers , a main course, and two desserts, and two glasses or red wine is good for you.
6.Not thinking about this PCa for a entire week - I VERY good for you!

We had a GREAT time!!

Hi Bud,

My wife and I laughed at your 6 points for cruising. We are going on a cruise from Ft Lauderdale leaving Nov 27th we call Our Thanks to PCa cruise. I said in another post AFLAC cancer insurance payment is paying for the cruise. We are going to borrow your 6 point cruising with some modifications for our cruise, if you do not mind.

1. Any (and all)  drinks that contain olives and Vodka or Gin as a major ingredient are good for you. ( Martinis) I checked and our cruise has Pomegranate martinis  on the bar menu. They may be good for you too.

2. Red Wine- while consumed at sea while eating anything other than vegetables - is good for you.
3. Good Red Port - as a night cap followed by TRIMIX injection - that's also good for you.
4. Laying about watching the scenery to include but not limited to the bikini clad scenery followed with Trimix injection- is good for you.
5, Dinner comprised of two appetizers , a main course, and two desserts, and two glasses or red wine is good for you followed by a after dinner fancy drink and a Trimix injection.
6.Not thinking about this PCa for a entire week - is VERY good for you!

We are cruising with Holland America and they allow passengers unlimited wine and champagne and dessert wines brought aboard free. So we will have our case and a half for the weeks cruise with us, that's very good for me and my wallet.

Not to worry Jeff, I already notified the cruise line I have a medication that needs to be kept refrigerated so I can take a full vile.  I also checked and they keep "ephies" in the infirmary just in case I get careless.

As promised its now time for me to catch up!

Jazzman1 – It was a great trip, we did enjoy the hell out of it and PCa was never thought of! 

Sonny – Coffee with my lady on the balcony of our cabin while in the middle of the ocean –What a fantastic way to start a day! Yup Every day is a bonus!

Purgatory / David – PC never entered our minds. The hardest decsions made were what appetizers to have. So as not to stress ourselves too much we just had multiple appetizers

Clocknut – We did we did! Enjoyed every minute! Try a cruise!

Terry TWG – I tried to get POM wine – no luck. But the red wines I had were outstanding! Sunset at sea. Sitting on balcony of our cabin with my lady drinking red wine. Life does not get much better. Nice of the duck (Aflac) to send you and your lady on the cruise
Glad you liked the tips I posted, I did do a lot of research – but now after reading your post I see I should have done more and covered the TRIMIX. Sounds like you and your lady are already planning for your fun cruise! Keep the tips in mind !

Sephie – 8 day Caribbean cruise – ooo that sounds nice! I have to put that on our to do list. 30th Anniversary – nice present to yourselves! Refreshed, renewed and exhausted did we return – exhausted from enjoyment – laughs!

Happy to see you enjoyed your cruise. I do believe in vacation trips as great therapy. I just got back for a long weekend. I tended to view it as a reward for my finishing radiation. Great to see you so upbeat!

Dee and I have a special trip coming up soon. Not a cruise, though.

However, next cruise may happen in the spring.
