2th PSA after surgery

hi guys,

my dad had his first psa test after surgery whitch came back at 0.51  his doctor suggested to repeat the test in 1 month time. so today he did a second psa test the resukt came this afternoon at 1.59

do you have any idea of what should be done?

Report:
Poorly differentiated Adenocarcinoma of the prostate Gleason score 8 (3+5) is present in both hemispheres (left and right side) of the gland.
Tumour has invaded both left and right seminal vesicles to a small extent.
The prostate capsule has positive margins on both the left and right hemispheres of the gland.
There is perineural invasion present.
There is no evidence of lymph node involvement
stage PT3c N0Mx

I would think the best next step is to find a good Medical Onocologist to consider Hormone Therapy or Salvage Radiation. Maybe both. There is a high possibility that micromestatic cells have spread. Best wishes, this can still be beat.

Right after the pathology report came back they should have told your Dad he would need further treatment...In an effort to salvage the failed surgery, the usual procedure is to start HT, hormone treatment, to stop the spread of the cancer and weaken it so the radiation treatment is more effective..They will wait until he has regained his continence before starting the radiation if they can...The radiation will stop further progress in that regard (usually)..Your dad's situation is not hopeless, there is still a chance for a cure but careful treatment and planning will be necessary. You want the best people you can find on your team...

just chocked of the high reading, we had a big hope that the psa will drop after the 0.51 3months after surgery, but 1.59 1month after the first reading was a huge surprise,

i just feel bad that i didn`t push my dad for futher treatment soon after surgery, we did trust his doctor who suggested to wait for a rise
dad asking for my advice and help and i am FEELING LOST
