14 Days Post-Op

I can't believe how fast the time has gone, I'm 14 days post-op. Recovery is going well, I'm staying dry all night and using 1-3 pads during the day depending on how active I am. Still some dripping and spurts later in the day as the sphincter gets tired when getting up from a chair or bed. My stream is getting stronger as I am able to allow my bladder to get full. I've worked my walking up to 1 mile in the morning and short walks the rest of the day.

Another feeling coming back, I thought I felt a few little chubbys while the catheter was in and now that it has been out for a week I have been getting a few while lying in bed or nocturnal chubbys. No towel rack yet but each one has felt stronger and larger. My Urologist said he would get back to me in a few weeks after the surgery to start Viagra or shots, but I hope to report to him I am getting it going on my own.

I wanted to know how soon anyone here on HW was able or tried to have intercourse with their wife after surgery?

Thanks sfigato, you are right patience is the key. My Urologist has said the same, take your time to heal, don't rush it. Just wondering how things went for others.

I was told to avoid getting one for a month as the urethra was healing. Was told that I could have intercourse after the month was up. I would definitely take it easy the first month perhaps even 6 weeks. Sounds like you're doing great.

Good you are doing so well after 2 weeks. My URO started me on daily Cialis week 3 after surgery and told me to get stimulation from my wife and if I got an erection good enough for sex that was a bonus. He said sex after 3 weeks was no problem, but my penis didn't want cooperate until I started injections 30 days later.
