Billy, glad you are doing well after your second date with a Davinci. My 85 year old father told me he hates to go see his doctors as every time he does some part of him is taken off or out. Just one of the perils of getting older. smhair I am beginning to understand now what he has gone through.

Billy, my gall bladder got poisoend by bile, when I had the acute pancratitis attack, it back up and took out the gall bladder, and damaged part of my liver. Pancreatitis is often linked to heavy drinkers, so the doctor was surprised at the time that I was a total abstainer. It was an open surgery, and it still left me with the largest scar on my body, looks like a shark took a bite out of me, all jagged looking, typical of surgery back in 1981.

Hi Bill, sorry to hear about your gall bladder, last year, 3 days before we were going on holiday, my wife had the same symptoms as you, an was rushed to hospital, and had her gall bladder removed, it took her quite a while to get her appetite back, I wish you well in your recovery.

There really are some rubbish posts appearing in this forum.

BillyMac, am sorry for your surgery, that is usually one yhat is a little harder to bounce back from. As for age, we recently had a friends 14 year old who had to have her's removed, and tomorrow a 16 years old at church will do the same.

Just shows what I know James. I had always thought gall bladder problems occurred post middle age.

As well as being somewhat sore that is exactly my problem now. I have no appetite at all and have to force myself to eat a couple of small meals a day. Good side effect of that though is I can literally feel the kilos slipping a way. It is just as well I have a pretty good store on board. smilewinkgrin

Bronson,
Halloween has always been a non event in Australia. I would doubt that any one born here pre 1990 had much knowledge of it. However in the last ten years or so the marketers have seen an opportunity to sell more junk so are trying to push it madly.

Bill, my wife had the loss of appetite for nearly 4 weeks, then one day she said "let's go and have a Hungry Jacks burger" then amazingly after that she started to eat again, give it a try maybe.

At least you had a good round of golf! It's funny how we would call an ambulance for anyone we cared about , but for ourselves...nah, it doesn't matter if we are squiring blood...it's just a flesh wound we can drive ourselves.

You are right Gleason. If anyone in my family did that I would ask "are you mad" And it is self defeating as well. Arrive by ambulance at the emergency rooms and through you go. Drive yourself and deal spending time waiting to be seen. What a stupid I am.
