Two Websites that evaluate the articles we see on healthcare.

Thanks to Charles Clausen for this post on the PPML today. These websites evaluate the articles we see in the news on healthcare, drugs, and treatments. These are panels that rate the claims in the articles.

f1000.com/

The latter site let's you search by "prostate cancer". The second site is free until January 3rd. Then it's a pay website (10 bucks a month).

I am not certain if paying for this stuff is necessary. Already Mike Scott at the "New" Prostate Cancer InfoLink does a nice job evaluating recent articles. And that site is free like the first one here.

I hope these are somewhat helpful. I know I'll be checking them when I see a news article boasting a cure for prostate cancer...

Did a quick glimpse of the healthnewsreview and see they posted their review criteria and this area of discussion is very much needed so as to see more transparency in what is what, I hope it is all that. Good you mentioned it for others to find.
