Unless you email us with questions / issues, you are just making a bet that someone is sitting reading all the posts all the time. I have a real job too, for now.

OK, I am also, let's say, uncomfortable, about the discussions about the financials and investigations. I've not said anything yet, because there seems to be information on both sides. But it is not really support help, so ....

The one house rule that has been violated is to have links in a new members first few posts, but again, they appear useful to Todd, and support is what this is all about, so I ignored that.

So long as we are talking about the drug and its use (yes, this includes how to get it paid for sometimes), I'm ok with it.

If I may be so bold. Please stick around. The information you have provided is invaluable to my cause. I dont wish to know your identity. I dont care who you are. I dont give a rip what side of the coin you are on. The data Kaiser has provided is clearly one sided. I feel like david standing up to goliath and I want an entire bag of stones when I start slinging them.

Not much happening today. My doctor is on vacation and my case manager is out until tomorrow. I have nobody to yell at..........two steps forward 1 step nack

Good luck. But please don't be a martyr. I mean, you can/should fight the fight regarding provenge.

But if there is some other appropriate tx., that does not automatically exclude you from doing provenge, well I hope you will consider doing it.

Todd, are you scheduled for other adjuvant therapies requiring the seven weeks off? Any updates from Dendreon in Seattle? You are still in my prayers and I hope you will hear good news soon. Sure wished I had some pull with them, but they won't even answer questions as to side effects until my study is completed and published. I wished you were going in tomorrow to the RedCross to give them your white blood cells and you would be getting your first treatment of their product with your white blood cells on Thursday afternoon.

Hang in there and keep positive like you are.

I spoke with member services for Kaiser permanente. I was able to effectively convey the new information I have aquired over the last several days. The woman taking notes comment was that I did an excellent job on my homework. Thanks S and others. Im still waiting however and I am really sick at the moment. I doubt it is pca related. We are goi.g to win this battle my brothers we are going to kick @55 and take names.

Todd, You are doing exactly what you should be doing. I've been working in Group Insurance for almost 30 years, and sometimes you just have to make a loud noise to get attention to your needs. HMO's just HATE bad Public relations, so going to a local TV Station that has a "on your Side" consumer advocate will get them off their high horse and want to please you to look like the good guy in this. We are keeping you in our prayers and looking forward to your post that they have reconsidered and now approve your request!

I predict that Kaiser will be the laughing stock of the insurance industry if they deny my appeal for Provenge based on an article written by a stock analyst. Ha ha. TheCMS amd other experts have debunked her thesis and Kaiser os aware that I have all of this information. This could be fun. I sure wish they would reach a decision.

Todd, I fully realize, that "waiting", is the real killer in your current situation. Until something is settle, yay or nay, it just keeps hanging like the proverbial sword over your head.

Hoping and praying that you get the favorable answer you both need and deserve.

You have done your share, and then some.

I am finding many of the posts on this thread referenced on other web sites. I am seeing a lot of pressure being applied. I wonder if kaiser is aware of any of it.

Another day draws to a close and still i have heard nothing. I am so sick of waiting. I tried to email my doctor to tell him i will no longer be needing his services but today I cant access kp.org from my phone. It keeps saying too many redirects. What does that mean. Todd

The media is my next step. Ein has some good ideas. I will follow through. Sundance has assured me I will get the medicine despite the Kaiser decision. Thanks for the good wishes. Todd p.s. i fired my onco yesterday.

My appeal was denied today. The drug **** said no provenge for you. Denied because of lung metstasis

From all that material, is it true that mets means you can't do provenge?

So sorry to hear that news, Todd. But somehow, I don't think you were surprised, but you had to fight for it regardless. Understood. As Jerry said above, on to plan "B", whatever path that takes you.
