I had a CAT Scan yesterday of my prostate, to determine how many seeds would be required. That felt about as bad as the biopsy (which I was awake for). I am still sore and it hurts everytime I tighten my muscles. I am scheduled for Brachy on 9 Mar. On a Friday which means I will have the catheter all weekend. I am looking for suggestions or possible soulutions to make it easier or better. After external radiation.. member not as firm as before is this something that lasts or should I expect improvement as time goes by. My Urologist (which is/was against me choosing radiation over surgery) states the radiation destroys the nerves and they will never regenerate. Is there any truth to this??

you mentioned BT and external radiation. are you having both? i had both and i guess i had nerve damage but with 10mg of cialis i am good to go. i've never had any incontinence and that was the big issue for me. i had the catheter for one night. if i had to have it three nights i wouldn't have liked it but it wasn't that big of a deal.

screw your urologist. there are SEs to every treatment. he can't guarantee you that you wouldn't need radiation after surgery or if you will be continent and erect. screw him.
