Well guys we are getting down to the wire. Only 60 days till the big event. Spoke with Sonny this morning, he is working on the T Shirt Design. Some of you guys have not sent in your shirt size. He will need them ASAP if your going to have a shirt.

Looks like a great group. We are getting very excited about the gathering.

Any of you that have figured out how to get here its not too late.

To help get in the spirit of things:


Boudreaux was riding along the highway when a truck passes with some pigs in it.

One of the pigs falls out and Boudreaux stops to pick it up.

A while later, a state trooper stops and says "Boudreaux, what you doin with dat pig?"

Boudreaux says "A man passed by wid a truck full of pigs and dis one fell out. I was goin to try to catch up with de truck and give de man his pig back."

The state trooper says "Boudreaux, dat man is long gone, why don't you just take dat pig to de zoo?"

Boudreaux said "OK".

A couple of days later, the state trooper sees Boudreaux on the highway with the pig still in his truck.

He stops Boudreaux and says "Didn't I tell you to bring dat pig to the zoo?"

Boudreaux says "Mais, yea, but we had so much fun at de zoo dat I tink we are gonna go to AstroWorld now!"

I made a mistake earlier must have had a senior moment, but no one corrected me except my wife.. I posted that it is 60 days away and Boudreaux said Ma non its 50 days away!

WOW how time flys when your having fun. The Pecan trees have budded so our winter is over!

I am so glad now that the GFMPH anticipation no longer causes me to wet myself. smilewinkgrin

Sonny told me over the weekend that he is doing a lot of night shrimp fishing in the Indian River area of Florida and expects to have a mess of great big Florida Red shrimp for eating at GFMPH. If you have never had big red Florida shrimp, that alone is reason enough to attend GFMPH, as there is NO shrimp better to eat.

My Wife has been reading Healing Well post lots lately. She told me we have to go. So Friday works for us.
Is there any type of agenda? Or is it, come when you can (within reason of course) and leave when you want?

Last year - Saturday morning we went on a field trip... Then did the big crawfish boil followed by a "round table" discussion about PC..

Jeff can tell you what he has planned. People start showing up Thurs night - Friday. Friday is whatever falls into place for those present (maybe just cooking burgers on the patio), Sat. is the "official" functions. Sunday people start filtering out. Last year some added a New Orleans stay on the end.

Friday and Sunday, if you are around, there will be a bunch of folks who won't tell you you got "the good cancer", and will understand when you need a pad break. There isn't much like being able to have a real conversation with guys who understand the basic premise.

People will be arriving starting on Thursday and some more on Friday. As 142 said Saturday is the Big day of the event. I am still planning a morning field trip. :) Some of the guys also asked about making a night time field trip as well :) I will be posting a new thread of who has not posted a t shirt size later today.

I am in for the field trips as long as they do not include any visits to the female impersonator clubs, after my surgery I can not get up for that kind of entertainment anymore. turn

Sooo bummed about my lack of attendance again! Always next year. I'll be officially retired with a little bit more steady income. On a good note, our first Grandchild,Audrey,is supposed to be born on that same weekend,and I'm taking no chance of missing that!
I do have Skype now so all I need is some contacts and approval,or just send a request to my email,which is listed!

Hey Guys,

We finally made our reservations! Yay!!!.
We will be arriving at Baton Rouge airport on Thursday evening and will leave from Baton Rouge on Tuesday morning.
I don't know exactly what will happening between those two times except I know it will be FUN!
We're smiling already. :-)

Worried guy,

So happy you and your wife are going to be there.  I heard one of the events at GFMPH has to to do with trolling for gators with a urine filled (or some other gator attracting fluid) catheter bag. I hope Cajun Jeff has plenty of P gravel as it looks like there will be a full house for GFMPH.

We are arriving Thursday night and can pick you up at the BR airport if needed.

WOOOOWHOOO GFMPH is getting so close. smilewinkgrin

Water Guy, trolling for gators Is a fun way to pass the time LSU country. They seem to be really attracted to Crimson & white. :)

I will make sure to wear my 2012 Alabama BCS Football championship shirt to GFMPH. The Crimson Tide's destruction of LSU was definitely GFMPH. I was thinking the catheter bag full  of some Golden Urine, Purple dye and a picture of Les Miles would make the trolling even better.

Ouch! There is always next year! Les Miles is too tough for Gators. However, Sabin is just the right size.

NOLAVette just called to say that he got his 6 month PSA ZERO and asked about the GFMPH.. He is planning to join us on the Saturday.

Jeff with the "vette" in NOLAVette's name are you 2 related?  Good news he will be at GFMPH and with his 6 month PSA he can buy all of us a good LA beer.

It is really pleasing we will have several newbies at the event so that I will not be the new guy and stuck buying the first rounds.

Just booked my hotel room at the Hampton Inn (The official hotel for GFMPH Cajun Style) Wooowhoo only 42 more days until unlimited Cajun fun and games for a bunch of guys with no walnuts or for some with radiated walnuts.  I have to start calling my friends to find some Alabama Moonshine to bring.  I have been told not to bring any Alabama road kill due to the poor quality of our varmints and that Sunny has us covered with Large succulent Florida Red Shrimp, yummy. smilewinkgrin   

WorriedGuy, My backyard squirrels have asked me for donations for the anti Worriedguy attack campaign. I hear they will be in BR to greet your flight when you land.
