On my way for CT scan in prep for my 4/11 RARP, and sat down to fill out the History & Screening form.

In the "Any personal history of:" section, for the first time, on such a form, I had to check the "yes" box after "Cancer."

Wow. It's a small thing, but it really brought me up short.

Just thought I'd share that. Thanks..

sometimes it's those "little" situations that change your perspective and start you on a new journey.

I was talking to my daughter's doctor and he asked me the same question for a better idea of her family history. It is one of those moment when it does hit you.

Shoreguy, It really hit me about 2 months after being Dx'd. I was sitting in the Dentist chair ready to get my teeth cleaned when the hygenist said "Is there any change in your medical history". Yes, I have cancer..... hurts just writting this.

Ouch, I hadn't yet thought about how that might feel. I will soon enough though.

You're about a week ahead of me for RALP ... good luck!

Forget about checking the "Organ Donor" box on the drivers license anymore... Or donating blood.

Well, after a day of barium smoothies and radioactive injections, I'm waiting on the results.

A sign in the Nuclear Med waiting room advised that if I'm planning on flying soon, I'd better get a note from them, lest TSA think I'm smuggling a nuclear device. (Well, the sign didn't put it quite in those terms, but that was the gist of it...)
