Spot on my lung

I had a spot on my lung when I had the CT scan before my prostatectomy. They did a more detail CT scan and decided it was some calcification. My guess is that it was from Valley Fever that I think I had a few years earlier. Try not to worry until they can check it out, because it probably is nothing.

Valley Fever is sure a strange one. I've probably had it and didn't even know it being born and raised in the Az desert. Most folks never know they had it and others get real sick with a few dying from it. My brother in law from Swizerland just had it and was real sick for several weeks. He is getting better now.

Had the same thing happen on my original CT prior to my open surgery. Had me concerned. Six month later, they said it too, was calcification, in my case, probably from some toxic exposure way back in my past when I use to work as a machinist. Had me scare for awhile back then, but in the end, nothing to be concerned with.

I have a "granulated calcification" in my right lung and too numerous to count in my spleen according to my CT scan after dx. The lung I knew about from a series of chest xrays 10-15 years ago.

No worry, the docs say, and probably as a result of growing up in Indiana, the histoplasmosis capital of the world.
