Trimix isn't working. Help

I am ten months post RRP, lost both critical bundle of nerves. Used the VED to try and regain what was taken away and never to be returned (length). So after reading the many HW successful posts on Trimix, I went to the Uro and got set up, showed how and then went home to explore a new world. After waiting an hour or two to gain the courage to inject, I did and had a little success. Each subsequent time, I added more trimix some up 5, some up 15 and got to 50 and still couldn't achieve firmness.

So during this process I keep reading with interests the threads of Trimix and kept having hope. I went back to the Uro and say it still isn't working, given different dose of the magical mixture, run home, try it again, with the same result. Called the Uro and he said up the dosage, which I did and did and did until I was at 50 ccs. Back to the Uro and he gives me a new Rx for a different mix. I go to the pharmacy and get the script filled and ask them about storage and they tell me to fill the syringes and then put them in the freezer. So I hope this new storage method and the new mix is going to work.

Another shot, another failure, up the dose, another failure. Up the dose, you got it, another failure.

I have reviewed the materials, watched video clips to make sure I am injecting in the right part of the penis, switching sides or alternating sides as directed but I still can not reach an erection that is firm. My dream is to be like some of you that last 2-3 hours.

Yes both critical bundle of nerves were harvested and lay in some landfill. But the Trimix is suppose to be working even for guys like me.

Are there other HW bro's out there that have experienced this or are experience this or have just given up? Any advice would be appreciated. I am too young to not have functionality. Are the implants, prothesis any good? Would it be worth one more blasted surgery to regain the ability? Where is St. Patty when you need his blessing?

Have you done an actual injection in the uro's office, with the uro observing the injection, and then waited to see the result while still in the office? If not, I would definitely do that, just to rule out any injection technique issues, etc.

My uro required me to come in and do the first injection (with the real Trimix) at the office. That was how we established the baseline dose.

One thing he suggested was once the needle is in, to pull back on the plunger very slightly, and look for blood to come back into the syringe (just enough to know it is there). That way you know you've hit the chambers, instead of other tissue.

One thing I suspect from my minimal experience - the more nervous I am, the less effect I get.

I've also seen it said that Trimix does not work for everyone.

I talked to an implant specialist at a PCa seminar. He had a few bits of wisdom -

- it is great to be able to create a woodie on demand, and not have to worry about syringes, vials in the refrigerator, and how many times a week. I think we could all agree on that.

- an implant has a "life" of about 10 years, so being younger, you may have to have it redone.

- it is not reversible. Once they reconstruct you, there is no road back.

Some of my friends from various support groups have done the implant, and they love it.

I never could injection to work. I tried everything (different mixes, quantities et) and couldn't get an erection of more than 60 to 70 %. My uro finally did a sonogram and found out I had venous leak. I had a implant on 11/16/2011. So glad I did. Brought back some spontaneity to sex and I don't have to worry about all the stuff with injections and the VED. Good luck and remember there are more ways than one to skin a cat.

StevenDallas-I wished 2-3 times a week. I am still promoting GFMPH, but I know this is very difficult on my wife let alone me. I will work on the frequency.

SouthernComfort-Yes I did have an appointment where I did the shot, but I am going to reschedule another appointment and have him watch with the full dose to see that woody isn't woody and mainly is fluffy and get his observation and suggestions.

Worried Guy, I will send you an email so we can talk off line. I think you and I should receive an award from the Obama Administration for doing our part for renewable energy. Heck, we should at least get a tax credit for our contribution. Especially because we just didn't render any nerves, but THE Critical Bundles. We are so unselfish.

James, I have done the plump and prick with the o ring to retain the blood, the problem is that there isn't enough to keep the space shuttles in business!

Ricky2-i like the idea of getting a sonogram and will request one when I got back and reshot it up.

Bob I am very interested about the surgery to get the penile implant and will email you my phone number and I would appreciate it if we could talk about what all is involved, what recovery is like, time frame for recovery, pain of surgery and recovery, etc. I am tired of pain in my life spinal cord injury from an auto accident, but this would be worth it if it isn't too bad.

At 52, I am way too young to have to walk away from the little bit of enjoyment in life and I find this to be so humiliating and makes me feel like a failure. It isn't fair to my wife how has been amazing supporting me through this PCa journey. Am I glad, i gave permission to the surgeon to harvest both bundles before surgery? The answer is yes and the decision was reinforced when all the pathology came crashing on down to reality.
