Twilight Zone is what this is from diagnosis's, to treatments, protocols, options and even outside the box and 'free thinking concepts'. The good news is don't freak out, you may or may not have PCa and even if you do, you could be diagnosed with indolent versions that don't require immediate treatment ideas or can postphone it with proper monitoring needed. Example my older brother psa of only 1.0 dre was suspecious some, got biopsies and 1 core found with 5%< and Gleason score of (3+3=6), well he said (lol) screw it and doing nothing but monitoring, well that has been 8 yrs. now and psa has thus far not changed and looks like sanity to do waiting in his case, and this is written about
in books too. You could have additional testing prior to biopsies like: PCA3 urine test and fPsa tests and use that data to see how suspecious it might be via that data.
At your age you would have a baseline on psa's to follow, as to velocity and doubling times, which are needed to monitor especially if you end up with no treatments or no biopsies at this time. Your considerations, chcekout info at
www.yananow.net on PCa information and patients histories like 1000+ of them.
