Hope you can avoid joining this club, thousands joining it world wide and almost as common as having the cold it seems. Anything is possible in this twilight zone, my brother got checked because of my huge diagnosis, he had a psa of .9 and DRE might have felt something, found with 'indolent PCa by definition from Brady Urology of John Hopkins-definition= 5%< found in one of the biopsies). He decided to say I prefer A.S./WW as a real choice, so far almost 8 yrs. now since and no progression known, psa has been stabil....he also knows there are zero guarantees in PCa, even with surgery or whatever there are no guarantees, but there are odds and better odds to contemplate. So, in case you get diagnosed don't freak out immediately, although that is normal reactions.
You could look for more evidence via PCA3 tests, fPsa tests, and some other methods, prior to biopsy....do get anesthetic for the biopsy if going ino that otherwise it smarts enough...my doc never mentioned how many or options to avoid pain...wish I could give him a biopsy!
