HD-- HT is not a cure
If HT results in complete remission for a patient, it is effectively a cure...
The notion that HT doesn't kill PC cells is a myth. Various studies have gotten differing results, but 30% with complete remission is not uncommon. The fact is that due to person-to-person variation at the genetic level, some men do respond to HT and others do not respond to HT (in other words, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan). Lower Gleason scores (G7) are prognostic for the better HT results.
