Squirm, if you meant my very first post at HW, I believe this is it, the earliest I could find by going backward in the search:

Was diagnosed less then 2 weeks ago it PC

PSA 2006 4.3
PSA 2007 5.8
PSA 7/2008 12.3
PSA 9/2008 14.9

Had 1st biopsy 9/7 Neg
Had 2nd biopsy 8/8 PIN + plus 4 "suspicious" areas
Had 3rd biopsy 9/8 Positive, had 2 areas, 4+3=7 and 3+4 = 7
All 7 cores tested positive with 60-90% cancer

Last week, had Bone Scan(s) and mutiple CT, awaiting results and
final consultation with doctor.

His thinking is that this is pretty aggressive, suggesting conventional surgery, non-
robotic, and min. of 40 RT treatments. Wants to operate 3 - 4 weeks from now.

My PSA doubling was very fast. Any comments or similar cases to mine.

Oops, I am 56 years old, had first PSA done at age 50, was over 4.

No known PC in family history, least none diagnosed.

Squirm, PSA was checked once more, just prior to surgery, and the PSA went from 14.9 to 16.3, so it was climbing very fast

squirm, he did at first, but when i was downgraded from 4+3 to 3+4, he changed his mind and said "let's wait and see". we waited, it didn't take long - 9 months. when my first psa came back at .05, he said we were probably headed for trouble.

terry, thanks for the kind words, guess i am a "pro", but i never use that word, someone else called me a "wordsmith" as an insult once here on HW, lol. if the shoe fits..... I still believe with their duo cancer battles, Sonny and Lynn were the Model Couple here at HW - much was learned from her battle, and his as well, and their relationship fighting together, and helping one another.

thanks for the words, having been married for 38 1/2 years, I can't comprehend what it would be like to lose my wife-my best friend- my lover, etc. we are as one, and can read each other's thoughts without words often. i fight so hard right now with my medical struggles - because of her. all we can, is what we are doing, is to continue to support our brother sonny, and be there for him. i think any of us would help him in an instant if he needs anything. i know i would.

on the stamp, awesome picture, you ought to put it out here for others to see. i am thinking about buying another sheet of them, and offer them free to those that missed out, and for the newcomers since then. it may not be much, but it's at least some official acknowledgement of what ails us by the Post Office.

Thank you, Aimzee, just doing my little part for HW in my own odd way, lol. Never dreamed I would be here long enough to hit 15,000 posts. I have to remind folks, that aren't 100% for PC, I also post on the Chronic Pain group, and use to post at the Ostomy group as well, thought most of them are here at the PC portion.

Guess I always have something to say, lol.

I strongly reccomend that you all try the Chronic Pain group here at HW. They have an equally good group of people, and since chronic pain deals with so many different reasons and variables, you will find an amazing mix of stories and solutions. They moderate it pretty tight there, there's more wiggle-room here in the PC room, but they simply go by the rules.

I have gotten to know some people there that have stories of pain and suffering that will make you think.

Sometimes, even with medical matters, there isn't an exact answer or an exact solution. It's not a perfect science, and the individual human body is an amazing just complext thing. In my case, extreme nerve damage as the results of radiaton isn't all that uncommon, perhaps the severity of it in my case, but generally, that type of damage does not heal over time, and can even get worse.

Hugs back, Aimzee, and Ron can squeeze in too, I have no problem with manlly hugs as well, as long as he doesn't hold on for more than 30 seconds, lol.

Thanks Ed, concerning the Sonny & Lynn part, I can't imagine anyone at HW PC that wouldn't fully agree, especially the many now that have met our brother in the flesh. And when Sonny completes his epic voyage, no telling how many others will get the privilege to meet him. All I will say, is that Sonny is the real thing, not a fake bone in his body. (well, I have never seen a bone scan, lol).

Just got back from my 3 days in Charleston, and read this additon. So sorry to see Ron having another major problem. Hope by now, that things have either been resolved or at least improved. Hoping to hear some good news back from you soon about thiis,
