I have been useing Pom X  1000 mg.as a supplement for my husbands diet and wondered if anyone has used or compared the brand Fruitrients X 1500 MG.?

Can't answer that. My wife just ordered me some for the first time, but I'll have to ask her the details and

we can compare notes later.

Sounds like you too are being pro-active with your husbands health.
I have been making a smoothie daily with green leafey vegs and fruits/ with immune boosting powders. He likes them and some of the guys at work have asked for the receipt.

Hi Boogee and Marie, I wanted to update you about my blood tests. Negative for interference and therefore psa tests accurate. My Rad-Onco wants to due full pelvic radiation and lymph nodes. Wants to start hormones, lupron and casodex, for at least 6 months and do the radiation in the middle. Have your doctors said how long your husbands would be on hormones. I'm thinking that If I have to do 6 months then a year would be better. Have your docs said anything???

We had considered RT but at this point we aren't considering pelvis radiation, however at our local support group meetings it was mentioned to do HT 6-9 monthes before radiation as it may lower the PSA and or tumor volume so it's easier to do RT to a smaller target.

Then I have read not to do HT prior to RT as one won't know if the PSA is lowered from HT or RT.

By the way was the PSA test you had in march of 2012 the first one you had done post-RP?

Yes, March 1 was the first one done. Lord knows what the psa was before this. I will never know my nadir. Thanks for the reply

That's about what happened to my husband the doubling time of his PSA and the fact that his pSA was never undectable after RP and we also were referred to an oncologists.
Everything I had read lead me to believe it had already escaped the capsule and that was confirmed by the F-18 pet scan we had at Stanford.
Have you considered having more testing done before under going RT.

Looks like we need to start a new club--PostOp PSA Club. Talk about a club no one wants to be in eyes

Pax, sorry to hear the PSA retest was not better news. I had positive SV and Lymph so I never got my hopes up. But both you and Mr. Boogee had pretty good post op stats. What a strange beast this PCa can be!
As far as how long to stay on HT, that's one of my questions for Stadllee at my appt. next Thursday.
Pax, does the Rad onc believe prostate tissue may have been left behinD? W e really should try to connect up in Chi-town soon. We would love for you to get to meet Sonny3 when he travels this way in August. Keep us posted on your treatments. I REALLY want ALL of us to get those pipeline drugs,MDV3100 and ARN and I don't want to wait toget them After chemo ! That's also on my questions for Once list.

Jim and Marie, august may not work for me but trying to figure out the tour dates. My brother lives in Peoria so Karen and I have a place to stay. Karen is my fiancee. I'll give a call. Let me know about Dr. re. how long hormone treatment. Sorry for late reply, was out of town and no internet or even phones. Was a nice break.
