Swelling of leg

Search google for lymphedema or similar lymphnode issues, sometimes removal of lymphnodes also can cause leg issues and this is one of the reasons why sampling the lymphnodes prior to surgery (although possible) is seldom done, because you run a risk of related leg issues when messing up the lymph system. I asked about sampling some nodes prior to major treatments, just to see if PCa was located there, doc kind of was talking me out of so doing with risks to leg issues that could be long term even. There probably are things they can do to some degree, so look into such things. Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear about hubby. I'm not certain whether or not this will help, but there are special nurse-therapists trained in reducing swelling caused by problems relating to lymph nodes. The procedure has helped my wife in the past and includes massage and wraps under the direction of these folks that are specifically trained. You may wish to check with local hospitals that would be aware of this and the may be able to direct you to qualified clinics.
