It's possible. Depression is also very common (my PC doc says like 80% of all PC patients get at least some depression).
Glad to know I'm not the only one who sees the black dog of depression. Well, I'm not glad that anyone does, but at least I know it's not only in my head.
As far as PTSD - I can easily believe that people go through that when they're hit with the cancer diagnosis. There must be stages similar to grief (actually, very similar). I've gone through the shock, the "why me's," the bargaining, the anger, and some grief. Still working on acceptance.
