Jeff, Hoover Dam was another thing I saw from 37.000 feet up, flying to Frisco, wasn't impressed ,lol. Would love to see it in person though

Hoover Dam - I haven't seen that in years. I think I was 9 when my mom took me to see it. I'd like to go see it as an adult.

Welcome to Las Vegas!
I will be jumping in my pool for a brief cool down (108 today), getting dressed, and heading over. Lot's of dinner options ahead...
Desert living tips: Stay cool. Wet helps. Drink ample water. Use sun screen...
See ya soon!

Tony, we have already adapted to the HOT in Las Vegas.
Cold shower, stay inside in the AC and drink lots of "Adult Frozen Beverages"
Seem to be working fine so far.
Sonny
PS> take trips to the casino. They love to keep the AC on max cold. Stick a quarter in the slot every once in a while and they will keep the 'Adult Frozen Beverages" flowing.
PPSS> Did I mention "Adult Frozen Beverages?"

Okay I going top to Facebook to see what all has been going on. Yes, Sonny, you mentioned Adult Frozen Beverages three times. And we know they are not from Dairy Queen.

about
an hour from now Tony is picking us up and taking us to the cooler mountains above LV. I think it is already about
100 outside the RV. There may be a chance of taking pics of the wild horses while we are there. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT TONY SAYS IT WILL BE COOLER. LOL
Great dinner with Tony and Ruth last night and just a little good fortune in the casino afterwards.
Updates and hopefully pics on FB later this evening.
Jeff and Pat will be going to visit some friends here in LV this evening and dropping me off at the casino on their way. Jazzman, I DID NOT bring the pink slip to the rv with me. Thanks for the reminder.

What a great visit. So glad we were able to stop in...;-) Also very glad you didn't melt in Las Vegas 113 degree temps. At least out trip up in the mountains it was as low as 78 degrees.
But like NASA "Re-entry" coming back was perilous...

We will be on the ranch with Clearwater Cowboy late morning and will be there for a week. Yesterday was a very long day of travel 14 hrs on the road! After we stopped in Boise we had dinner with Clearwater's Son.
This morning the temp is 68. What a break.
Know that we are thinking of all of you.

David, the living and sleeping area in the Beast is as close to normal and comfortable as your own home, I bet. You'd be spending 14 hrs. somewhere, so there wouldn't be any difference , except for
location and scenery...lol Still can sit and take those pain relieving naps comfortably, if needed. All ya need is the motor home and the driver, right?

Traveling in the beast is just such a pleasure. The only day that we got really tired was yesterday. The flight attendent (Pat) served coffee and snacks as desired.

James, I have toured inside the beast before, its truly a palace on wheels. Yeah, I could sleep away the hours for sure in a rig like that.
Let someone else do the driving and the parking part.

I had the honored guest bed last year in NY at GFMPH and it was a true Palace on Wheels. Sonny had just put a new memory foam mattress on the guest bed and I slept like a king in that palace. The only downside is that while that Palace is moving it only gets about
6-8 miles per gallon of gas.

Sonny extended the honor to me to stay in the Beast at GFMPH Cajun Style.
Actually the way it went is I received a call from this guy who I had never spoken to before, it went "Bud, This is Sonny, you are staying with me in the Beast at Cajun Jeffs"
Sonny - a gracious host, a great friend - I'm so honored to call him that. Late night conversations, early morning coffee outside the Beast.
Oh Sonny did make mention Terry the Water Guy, my gooder gooderest bestest friend - Snores! Loudly! ....<Grins! Terry one of us had to take a poke at the other! Love ya my brother!>
Can't wait till September!
In about
a hour and a half (giving time for DC rush hour to pass) - we are off to the beach!

The Beast is parked on Dalls' ranch right behind the house. Dallas even has electrical, water and sewer hook ups available for me. We will post some pics of the view from the parking spot later today on FB.
Driving a 14 hour 660 mile day in the beast is not really a problem. Your butt is sitting about
6 foot of the ground, in a $1700 memory from captains chair and looking through a 8 foot wide 4.5 foot tall front window. It is a panoramic view of the world as you drive. It seems like you never really get road weary.
Jeff and Pat are absolutley great travel companions. Jeff and I are having great conversations (when he is not taking one of his many naps) and Pat seems to revel in the "Flight Attendant" mode. Cold drinks, coffee, snacks and sandwiches are only a slight request away.
Life is good, Every Day is A Bonus, and this trip has been truly amazing so far. And the best of it is that after 2 weeks spent here with Dallas and Jeannie, I still have almost 2 months to get to Worried Guy's for GFMPH.
Living life large and choking the most out of every day,
Sonny

It sounds like you guys are having such a great time. Great!
We are getting ready for your arrival at the GFMPH gathering here. The road is 2 feet wider and there is now a soft shoulder!
The driveway is wider too. You will have no trouble driving in! Except for the electrical wires. I'll have to find out about
getting them buried.
Keep choking the most out of every day!
See you all in September

Hey Sonny,
Hook ups behind his house, gotta love it! I had just completed installing them at our last home when economic conditions forced us pull up anchor. The pictures there in Idaho are fantastic. Pretty state. I'd always like living in Dallas, but I would love to live where Dallas is...
Or something like that.

Tony, yep it is kind of slick having our own hood ups here for the coach!...The area is just beautiful.
