My good friend is in his early fifties and his PSA shot up from .9 to over 5 this past year. No symptoms so doc retested it and it was down slighlty so dr did a biopsy which came back negative. Dr says to retest blood in six months. As far as I know the dr didnt give any idea of what could have caused it or suggestions such as change of diet or meds. Since this is the opposite of my story a few years ago (low PSA but symptoms, positive biopsy - surgery) I am wondering what you guys think. I am concerned with that rapid of a rise in one year that the biopsy might have missed the spot, but I don't want to bring this up to him.
Thanks for all input
