Hello All
I thought it was time that I shared my feelings with fellow sufferers.
I was diagnosed with PC in February 2011:
At Diagnoses:
Age: 55
PSA 65
Gleason 4+4 (all 12 cores involved)
T3b N2 M1
Small bone mets, Seminal vesicles and Lymph Nodes (Para aortic nodes and Inguinal Nodes).
For treatment I opted to join a Trial. I started on Zoladex in February 2011 and for full androgen blockade I was started on Casodex 50mg in October 2011 to supplement the Zoladex. Since starting the hormone therapy I have complained to my Specialist about
the additional aches and pains that I am suffering. My Specialist does not offer up any reason for the aches and pains but says it’s not due to the PC and not the treatment.
I mentioned that my breasts are getting quite large and painful. Response was “That’s just cosmetic PC will kill you”. For the sweats it was suggested that I take sage (it doesn’t work for me).
Gents am I being paranoid? Do any of you suffer the above due to the hormone therapy?
My PSA is still low but slowly rising.
