The 3.4 pounds sounds alot like water-weight loss. Are you showing symptoms of dehydration? Of other kidney problems? I'd have those things checked out if the other tests are inconclusive.

I will be checking in on you by this weekend and hope for anything if found will be fixable.
We will be on our cruise Sept 1-8 so won't be on my EM until after that Sept 1.
We had Rolands PSA test yesterday and don't want to know the results until we come back as he is coming up on his 3rd Lupron injection.

The weight loss seems impossible, but its quite accurate, unfortunately. At PT today, couldn't even do the normal routines, had to quit walking laps after the first one, was too weak and shakey.

When I got home, decided to try another of the "Boost" high protein drinks as suggested, but within 30 minutes of drinking it, had the usual stomach cramps and bad aches. cant win right now

thanks one and all. now the waiting game begins. most non-lethal possibilities have already been eliminated, unfortunately. mostly hoping that the scan results/blood work results will come back in time to talk to my doctor before we have the 3 day holiday (Labor day) weekend getting in the way.

thank you billy. you know i am not a "worrier" by trade, but have to admit, with the prospect of pancreatic cancer in the mix, i am deeply concerned. at this point, there's aren't too many other possbilities for these exact symptons that aren't related to the pancreas. i wouldnt want to deal with pancreatitis again, but it would be the lesser of evils.

they also ruled out celiac (gluten related) today, that would have been an easier dx to deal with. chron's has been ruled out as well. if i had a gall bladder, it would be on the top of the suspect list, but mine departed from me 31 years ago, lol.

as usual with me, its whatever it is, so worry isn't going to help or change a thing. just preparing myself for whatever lies ahead. in the worse case scenerio, at least i wouldn't have to think about having advanced prostate cancer anymore, and hey, no more psa tests!

Nail biting issues for sure but keep your head. Your well researched approach and your perseverance have paid off in the fight thus far so keep dancin' with the girl that brung ya. Your oncologist sounds aggressive and very capable. He's got your front and we've got your back. You will pull out of this dive.
