Welcome to HW, here's a thread of your own for you, so we can say hi. How about sharing some stats of your journey so far?

In another thread, deros posted for the first time, saying

" I have been on Casodex 50mg for 4 months now and have one month left. I was started on it to get PSA down in prep for radiation. I also get lupron but the goal was 0.5 PSA to start radiation. It is 1.07 now and stated at 33. In the beginning it cause bad constipation but that has stop and not having any side effects. Feel lousy but do not know what to blame it on. My Casodex is only temporary."

Hello, I am a T2BN. Gleason 7 , Agent Orange in Nam exposed PSA 33 to start. Age 69 On Lupron 22 and Casdex50. Self RXd promegranate 1600 mg daily,Calium, Vit D, One a day mens vit (equate)Questionable scapula bone met. Treated at MDAnderson and VA. Hope radiation if PSA 0.5(1.7 now) in Oct if bone clear and no spread. Thanks all gave some but some gave all.

Deros, I'll also throw my welcome to the forum thought out to ya. I appreciate you posting to my Casodex thread. Stay in touch out here as you continue down your path - you'll find lots of good experience and input out here.

Welcome to you Deros! This is a great place to both lurk and ask questions and even to encourage others. Are you on VA disability? I am a vet with Agent Orange exposure also. Been concerned I wont be qualified somehow.

I was already 100% PTSD and I put in my paper work for PCa. It is a few extra bucks is all. If you were boots on the ground in Nam, Prostate Cancer is presumed to be caused from AO. You need to apply ASAP and you will automative get service connected at 100% disability. Hands down. Welcome Home Bro.

I'm also boots on the ground Vietnam and am now on partial disability for AO related prostate cancer. If you have PCa and are boots on the ground Vietnam, please file with V.A. right now. I left a lot of benefits on the table because I didn't file until a fellow Vietnam vet told me to contact the V.A. Your veteran's benefits begin from your filing date, not from the date of onset of your cancer--so getting the paperwork in motion is very important, even if it takes a year of more for a determination from the V.A.

Thanks for reply! Diagnosed July 5, and walked down the hall of the VA hospital to the DAV and filed. Sent everything in they want since. I am so relieved. Boots on the ground. All this health related stuff just this year is pretty draining on the finances even tho I have cancer ins.
