IV Vitamin C Achieves Clinical Success with Prostate and Breast Cancer

Chris, sorry this might have gotten overlooked in the current scrap going on, but this article is really encouraging. I love this part:

Tumor markers decreased for most prostate cancer and breast cancer patients

Most impressive with this trial was that PSA levels decreased in 77 percent of prostate cancer patients while 73 percent of breast cancer patients saw decreases in CA27.29/CA15.3 (cancer antigen) and/or CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) after their treatments.

This trial gives powerful new evidence of the benefits of IV vitamin C therapy for cancer - a therapy which has few side-effects, a well-established safety profile and which is far cheaper than conventional treatments. For more information, the last reference below links to the clinic where this trial was carried out.

I'm thinking alternative practitioners in some countries already offer this. Insurance does not pay for it.

Foxrun - Using the IV approach, they were giving much higher doses than are practical with pills. (7.5 grams -50 grams.) Whereas Vitamin C pills are in milligrams, or in thousandths of a gram!

I figured as much.......but it still begs the question "are any amounts of vitamin C helpful?"

I am reminded of the stuff about Vit C curing the common cold where the resdaerch was later questioned. And I thought the body could only absorb a certain amount of Vit C per day.
Also wondering about what exactly might be going on in this study....
Does it reduce the actual cancer? ie it's curative
or
Does it make the cancer less active so that for instance, in the case of PCa the cells produce less PSA.
or
Does it speed up the way the body processes things like PSA so that cancer is actually being just as nasty but the amount of "marker" is reduced.

I guess it means a Gin and Orange might be better for you than a Gin and Tonic!
