Any upcoming November Tests

Figured I'd start this one early. I will be doing another PSA on Tues and get the results on Thursday. That would be November 1st!

If my very high PSA is confirmed, we will do scans and then talk about HT.

I suspect Dr. Hussein will say wait (if scans are negative) or start immediately (if scans are positive). Dr. Lam will say start immediately.

At that point, I will again have to decide, but I have pretty much decided to do HT.

Yes, it has been difficult to pull that trigger.

Every 28 days I have to do PSA tests as part of my Clinical Trial.......I wish I could say they get easier....at least for me they full of anxiety...oh how I wish for the days when I saw a doctor once a year.....now it seems my life revolves around one appointmet,test after another......but at least I feel great.Life is good.

We're now on Lupron, Casodex, and Zytiga.... Everything but the kitchen sink. :)

My one year anniversary of starting T Meds is in a few weeks. Have done blood letting every two to three months.. Never get tired of seeing the ZEROS...

T levels is another story.. Finally hit about 725 3 months ago but it dropped to 454 two weeks ago. Will know in January if I get/have to switch to injections which will probably require even more frequent blood draws.

PSA along with my monthly Zometa

I'm currently on Zometa (monthly), Eligard (every 3 months - just had 2 weeks ago), Zytiga (daily) and Pred (2x a day)

Would be nice if the PSA goes down - even 1 point!

But I'm not going to worry about it as what will be will be. No amount of my worrying will do a thing - other than distress me!

After that the next predicted would be around 17 Dec - I need to have PSA done every 30 days so my Doc can refill the Zytiga and Pred. Hmm wonder if they have candy cane flavored meds?

We will beat this crap!

Clinical trials have us at the hospital weekly. I'd love monthly visits, and yearly visits, not in our near future.

We meet with the Oncologist on Halloween to discuss tomorrow's scans to see if the clinical trail is working. PSA's are stressful but for us, it's the results of the 3 month scans that drive us crazy. Hoping and praying that there will be a reduction in tumor size.

Seems like there are lots of PSA results for the month of November. Wishing everyone, all low PSA's.

Hubby will have his first post-surgery PSA blood draw on Nov. 15.  We fly to Vegas on the 16 (seeing STYX in concert) and back on the 17th.  Hope that will distract us from 'worrying' about what the results will be.  Hope to have the results on the 19th or 20th.  BIG group coming into town for Thanksgiving (son got married this past June and his in-laws are coming from Maryland, plus others- total 25-30 for Thanksgiving lunch!!! :-0 )

New pet scans next Friday. I'm frankly very worried about it

I am scheduled by my Uro for early Nov, first PSA since Bx and Dx in August, I am defaulting to AS at the moment. My last PSA was in May.

However, I had a bloodtest done today prescribed by my family doctor for diabetes, he also sneaked in PSA for me.

Another 0.1 arrived today. This is 4 years after Dx and over 3 1/2 years after treatments. All psa readings have been 0.1 since treatment. All in all, I have no complaints with the results of the treatments, but psa anxiety does still creep in every 6 months.

Mine is also not until December. But I did get one thrown in with my annual physical, last month. Up very slightly to 0.19.

good luck Mel...HT is not that bad really. side effects are minimal and sex is still attainable.
