Good morning everyone, it's been a long time since I've been on here!! Just wanted to post an update for my husband :) He has been doing great since being diagnosed with PC in October of 2012. He had prostatectomy (upgraded to Gleason 9 after surgery and in 3 of 7 lymph nodes), radiation, and has been on Lupron injections since then. His PSA's have remained undetectable, he gained a little weight on the Lupron, 100% ED, no incontinence (just has to GO when he has to go so get out of his way!! LOL). He has recently had blood in his urine a few times but after 4 times, hasn't had any since. Had CAT scan (clean), blood & urine labs (clean), now waiting for Cystoscopy in June to check inside his bladder (on my birthday of all days, so it's got to bring a CLEAN scope!!). I have a classmate who is waiting for his possible PC biopsy results tomorrow and I referred him to this site as it's brought me/us a lot of insight during this ordeal. I pray for a negative biopsy for him!! But I just wanted to update my hubby's info to give some positive feedback :) For a Gleason 9 after surgery he has been so lucky and blessed, we were so scared! And still are at times when he doesn't feel well, I start worrying it's back somewhere else....but I say my prayers and hope that God's plan for him is good health from here on out! Best of luck to you all!!
P.S. He and the urologist P.A. are mentioning taking him off of the Lupron injections for a while and give his body a rest since PSA's have remained undetectable for 2 yrs next month, but I'm fighting that tooth and nail!! I DON'T WANT HIM TAKING THE CHANCE OF THE PRODUCTION OF TESTOSERONE AGAIN FEEDING ANY CANCER CELLS THAT MAY BE LINGERING AROUND! So we will see how it goes....
