My wife has been on here frequently since my prostatectomy in March, 2009. I have not been here until now. I had my RP in March, 2009 and have been impotent ever since. I have used the VED almost daily, all variations of the ED pills, and have used the Trimix. The injections give me a much smaller, but usable, erection with the head still soft. I am not satisfied with the injections because of this result and the fact that injecting my penis is a big moment killer. I also lack the building physical urge for sex that I had prior to my surgery. Back then if we went a few days without sex, I would have a strong building urge for sex. Now, I don't have sex for a long time and still don't have any increase in physical urge. Also, the times we do have sex, I usually do not have an orgasm. I am also being treated for Low T and am keeping my T level around 500.

I would like to know if anyone else is having the same experience and what, if anything, that you have done to help this problem. I am considering an implant but really not sure that it will correct my problems.

I believe I talked to you offline awhile ago, so you know what worked for me (implant).

I don't recall if I had shared much with you about how I was post-prostatectomy versus pre. I was similar to you with regard to sex drive, although my T levels dropped the year before I was diagnosed. This moved me from someone who wanted sex every few days to once a week before surgery (which was much more compatible with my wife's libido, which was happy with less frequency than mine). Immediately after surgery, I had much lower drive, and even when T reached normal levels with supplementation I still had lower drive. It seems that this is very common for many after prostatectomy.

I also was similar in that I could not orgasm during intercourse. Although it still is not easy for me, I am able to with the implant, but never did with injections, pump, or any other means post-prostatectomy. The implant has helped in all regards, and sex does not have the foreboding anxiety that it had before the implant.

We have similar histories.

I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post Prostatectomy in 2004.

The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.

As with me, the final decision is yours and yours alone!!

I can image how things are as lack of orgasm is my biggest problem besides leaking of urine during sex. (leakage would seem like a price worth paying if the sex still resulted in an orgasm, and there are occasions when I don't leak.)
Lack of build up to sex is often the case with me too, again, partly because of leaking, as we have to factor in the risk of leaks, and thus have make sure we are in a suitable place first. (so no sex in elevators - just kidding!).
However, since surgery (and SRT) I now often find that the trick to having an enjoyable time is to forget about my own pleasure and concentrate on my wife's and then even though the orgasm is still missing there are a lot of good sensations to be had.
