Problem with MSK nomograms

When checking the nomograms on the Memorial Sloan-Kettering website, it tells me it can't calculate my result. The reason given is that it says that it can't calculate the value of using ADT in conduction with a radical prostatectomy since that alters the features of the cancer.

However, I've clearly selected "brachytherapy" as my primary treatment, not RP. When I deselect ADT, I get the result for brachy, but I can't get a result when I include it.

My combo of brachy, external beam and HT isn't all that uncommon and it seems to let me select them, so I'm curious if the site can't calculate that properly, or if I'm somehow doing something wrong. I tried two different web browsers in case that was the problem.

Don't you think you should be asking MSK this question?  Nobody here has anything to do with how that web-site technically works.

I would ask them.

Ask them, but it maybe that they don't have enough guys who have done the same things as you to have adequate data for the calculations.

I realize the website is completely independent and I certainly don't expect tech support here. But the site is mentioned as a resource here quite frequently so I thought perhaps others had run across this before.

It's not a matter that they don't have enough data, but that when I select brachy as the primary treatment option, the site somehow seems to think I'm referring to radical prostatectomy.

I think the way the nomogram model works, is if there is no model data for a particular combination (i.e. brachy and ADT), it returns NA for everything. They do not want anyone using invalid model results to make treatment decisions. On the other hand, if you go to the SRT radiation model, it will give you different statistics, with and without ADT. So, they have that combination modelled.

Pre-Treatment (Diagnosed with Cancer But Not Yet Begun Treatment)
Post-Radical Prostatectomy (Recurrence After Surgery)
Salvage Radiation Therapy (Considering Radiation Therapy After Surgery)
Hormone Refractory (Progression of Metastatic Prostate Cancer That Can No Longer Be Controlled by Hormones Alone)

i.e. they only have four nomograms and seem not to have done any calculations to create nomograms for those who have had brachy (or external RT) as their primary treatments.
