Well, folks, it's official. My PSA came back today at 0.26, up from 0.17 three months ago. My uro referred me to his radiation guy, who will discuss SRT and maybe ADT with me. I was expecting this, since my PSA has been on an upslope for the last 2 years. I managed to make it to 3 years and a few months before hitting BCR, so I hope that's a good thing.
I appreciate all of you who have posted about SRT and ADT, I feel that I have a lot of information already. I mentioned to my uro that I hope he would act as my advocate in case I feel the radiation doesn't feel right and the RO won't listen to my complaints (i.e., Purg), and he said that would be no problem, he works closely with the RO.
He also said my local hospital is upgrading to the newest IMRT machine this January, so I could go there (15 minutes away) instead of the current hospital (1 hour). Sounds good, but I don't want to be the first guinea pig, I'd rather wait until they work out their procedures with the new machine.
Don't know what else to say. Guess the pomegranite pills I've been taking and the Vitamin D didn't do all that much in my case.
