Husband having robotic prostate surgery next week!

Your husband's experience in the hospital sounds quite a bit like mine. If he is like me going forward you will be surprised how fast he gets back to wanting to do stuff. Your job will be to make him take it slow for a while but after that... the tape that sticks to itself but not to skin is great for strapping the catheter leg bag to his thigh and REI "convertible" pants (with legs that zip off at the knee) give easy access to the drain in public men's rooms. And my urologist's nurse told me that if my scrotum swelled up to three times its normal size and turned rather purpleish that meant that I was out and about too much too early and needed a bit more time in the La-z-boy.

Finally got the path report! Lymph Nodes and margins clear! Gleason score actually downgraded from 7 to 6!!! Husband doing well actually outside taking a walk. Few small bumps along the way as he found out he had a small blood clot below calf and is taking blood thinner and being watched carefully for that. Also high amount of Creatinne in blood due to drugs used in surgery but that seems to be working its self out. We feel so blessed that the cancer has not spread to margins or lymph nods we can get through this with no problem. Catheter out on Thursday. When we went into this we had three goals
1. Get the cancer out
2. Bladder control
3. have the best sex we can have.
So off we now go to number 2! There is not a doubt in either of our minds that having Robotic Surgery was the right way to go! Thank you all for your support
RS January 8th two nights in hospital. Still taking it easy and resting but up and walking and feeling pretty good!

Question, husband keeps having cramps in his legs(below knee) and tightens comes and goes. Anyone have that after Robotic Surgery. He has been X-rayed for blood clots and does have a small one below calf and is on blood thinner.
