Length of biopsy effects

How long should I expect bleeding to last after a biopsy? 

It has been two weeks since my biopsy.  I no longer have drops of bright red blood being expelled with my urine. However, my urine is now very dark - as in lots of old blood being expelled in the urine - and is not improving.  I always have at least one dark blood clot come out in the morning as well.

Is this something that is relatively normal? I suppose I also need to be drinking a lot more water so as to flush things out on a more regular basis.

If you had posted exactly the same description except that you said "semen" in all cases instead of "urine" I would have told you that that is expected. Old blood lingers in the semen for weeks and weeks after a biopsy. But in your urine it shouldn't linger that long. Passing clots at two weeks isn't normal. I'd get yourself checked out.

Only thing I can think of is that you haven't ejaculated since biopsy and that is the source.
Semen that looks red and brown and messy is not great, but you sort of need to flush out all the "pipes" in the system.
